Daisy Lowe Vintage Swimwear for Peacocks

Following in the designer footsteps of her mother Pearl Lowe, Daisy has collaborated with Peacocks to create a vintage swimwear range! And who better to model for the range than our curvy icon Daisy herself. We're super hyped and ready to buy the polka dot bikini!

"Daisy Lowe for Peacocks" will launch in selected stores and online as of next month. The range will be available in sizes 8-16 and cup sizes 32B to 36DD. Excited much!?

A Royal Day

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.  7. 8. 9.

The day of the Royal Wedding has finally arrived and whether you are having a street party, garden BBQ or doing your best to avoid the day it is certainly an occasion to dress up for. We've selected some of the prettiest, British summer inspired dresses and skirts from ASOS to give you a little inspiration of what to wear for the big day. Personally, we are loving the classic nautical summer dress (middle right) paired with some cute wedges and a straw hat.

Hope you all enjoy the long weekend, no matter what you are doing!

Festival style: Coachella

Images from: ASOS

It's getting to that exciting time of year where the festival line-up's are being released, the weather is warming up and summer is in sight. That means one thing, it's time to start planning your festival wardrobe.

We've looked the California based Coachella Music and Arts festival which, in our opinion, has got to be one of the most stylish music festivals for some much needed inspiration to make sure that we're on-trend come festival time.

The major trends that can be spotted from Coachella are Americana, Native American detailing, florals and sheer fabrics. We are loving the use of feathers, navajo patterns, american flags and lace.

Who's your style icon?

With so many stylish celebrities around these days the big question is; who is your all time favourite? For us, our most inspirational style icon has got to be Sienna Miller. Her chic, laid back and young style influenced the bohemian style tribe of a generation. She took the boho trend to a whole new level, showing us how to achieve that 'thrown on' look in a feminine and retro way, which to this day is still being referenced. For us, that's got to be something pretty special!

Inspiration: Swedish Summer.

One of our favourite spring/summer 2011 collections is the 'Swedish Summer' look from Topshop. It embraces all the elements that we love; florals, floaty fabrics, scallop edging, 70's vibes and quirky styling. This trend, for us, gives us everything we need for that perfect summer look. Inspired!

Colour stories.

From top left clockwise: The Fish Tank, FrouFrouu, ASOS, Stylorectic, Topshop, Magpie Girl

Say goodbye to your LBD because colour is the new colour of the season. One of our personal favourites this spring is citrus. Whether it be mustard, yellow, rust, orange or lemon here at Rapture we can't get enough of it. We found some great inspiration of how to style this colour. Our personal favourites are how The Fish Tank mix (top left) mixs it up with a pop of mustard and the heritage look jacket and Stylorectics (bottom right) sophisticated but fun combination of mint and rust. We say, the more colour the better!

Un-touched Beauty

We're astonished here at Rapture to discover a beauty ad that is promoting the non use of airbrushing! Parisan make-up brand Make Up Forever have introduced a High Definition Foundation and they claim the foundation is so good that they don't even need to airbrush the ads they have released. We're pretty sure that most magazines won't be ditching the airbrushing in favour of a good foundation but for us regular girls it could be the camera confident foundation that we have been praying for. Say cheese!
